Dr. Imtiaz A Khajwal

Qualifications: BDS , MFDSRCPS, PGCert Implant Dentistry (University of Sheffield)

After qualifying as a dentist, Imtiaz completed 2 years of training in the community from India. Then followed a 3 year stint working in Oral and Maxillo-facial surgery at the University Hospitals of Manchester and Dundee, where he was also involved in teaching undergraduate students at the Dental Schools. In 2006, he started working as an Associate Dentist, providing a general dentistry practice, though he maintained his links with Oral Surgery via part time hospital work in Maxillofacial (oral) Surgery for 7 years. During this time, he completed multiple courses to further his skills especially in Implantology, Restorative Dentistry and other associated disciplines.

Imtiaz has been placing and restoring implants for over 6 years now. Dental Implantology is his main special interest and patients as far as Nottinghamshire have benefitted from his expertise.

Outside of work Imtiaz enjoys playing sports especially Golf and Cricket.

Dr. Maryam D Spanswick

Qualifications: BDS, MSC, MJDF , Diploma in PG dental studies

Following qualification from Liverpool Dental School I quickly realised working in general dental practice was for me. I love working with people and in particular people who are anxious and nervous at the prospect of visiting the dentist. Through this I developed my skills of sedation to use alongside my dentistry, in particular intravenous sedation (IVS). What I particularly enjoy is, over time, seeing someone who is extremely nervous becoming less anxious and, dare I say it, confident at going to see the dentist.

As well as sedation I have a specialist interest in primary care orthodontics, treating people of all ages from simple anterior alignment to more comprehensive cases. Alongside additional clinical training in restorative dentistry, sedation and orthodontics, I have undergone further academic studies gaining my MJDF, a post-graduate certificate from the Eastman Institute, London. I am also currently studying towards a post-graduate diploma in primary care orthodontics for the general dental practitioner. I am also a member of the College of General Dentistry, working towards my Associate Fellowship with the College.
